about me

my name is Ashley, and I am a 20 something based in St. Louis, Missouri.

Since my late teenage years, I have felt the weight of the climate crisis - the way we abuse our earth and how each daily action can either help or hurt our planet. In an attempt to gain a hobby while combating overconsumption and textile waste, I began sewing during the pandemic. My first project was ambitious: a T- shirt quilt, designed to save all of my old high school shirts from a landfill. Since then, I have practiced sustainable and zero waste sewing - barely letting a scrap even touch the trash can, buying thrifted sweatshirts to sew funky things on, and using old curtains and bedsheets to make dresses, pants, tops, and more.

I “began” my small business in 2023 - posting my makes online and putting myself out there. Next was dipping my toes into selling my craft: vending at local markets, such as Earth Day Festivals or Tower Grove Pride.

I realized how much I loved stretching my creative muscles and connecting with people who get joy from my pieces, so here we are with a website! My goal is to continue infusing personality into clothes while rescuing them from the landfill <3
